Todd
Gillam, our
resident semiotician, has over fifteen years experience in managing
a wide range of creative initiatives from concept to completion.
He has supervised
deliverable production for market research and strategic management
projects in a variety of sectors: automotive, telecommunications,
entertainment, high-tech, retail, consumer goods, financial services,
agriculture, mining, IT/IS, publishing, and public relations.
Todd
has an extensive background in writing, graphic arts, desktop
publishing, and video editing. He has designed multimedia report
materials for qualitative and quantitative research, strategic
restructuring, business planning, process reengineering, mergers
and acquisitions, policy reform, competitor intelligence, and
annual publications. Todd has also been actively involved in
brand management initiatives, and has developed advertising and
marketing collateral based on specific communications objectives.
Todd
holds a Master of Arts and a B.A. (Hons.) in English from the
University of Manitoba, with a focus on semiotics and media theory.
He is
certified as a website designer through the Schulich School of
Business at York University, and is certified as a broadcaster
through the National Institute of Broadcasting. Todd has also
been trained in research methodologies through the Professional
Market Research Society.
