Kolin
Watts has a wide range of experience within the market research
industry, and has been directly involved with private sector
clients in the automotive, entertainment, brewing, and financial
services segments. He has also worked with various aspects of
the public sector including transportation, power, and telecommunications. Kolin
has managed and conducted custom qualitative and survey-based
quantitative studies throughout North America.
Kolin's
qualitative experience in the U.S. market ranges from brand
positioning
to strategic planning to product development. His related
experience in corporate positioning research, advertising evaluation,
and
in-depth personal interviewing has provided a strong background
across a variety of key market sectors.
Kolin’s quantitative
background includes a broad range of studies including political
polling, customer satisfaction research, advertising recall,
copy testing, strategic counsel, logistics, and new business
forecasting. He has developed a consumer feedback mechanism for
a major financial institution, and developed an advertising recall
methodology that is used as a proxy for media buying – both
are still currently used today.
Kolin
holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University
of Western Ontario, with
a concentration in applied laboratory methodologies. He has
graduated from several professional programs, including RIVA's
applied
qualitative techniques in Washington, D.C. Kolin is also
a member of several industry organizations such as the Professional
Market
Research Society and the American Marketing Association.
